Beyoncé Bodyguard Dance Workshop w/ Stephanie Emmanuela Da Silva

IN THIS DANCE WORKSHOP, Stephanie will be teaching us a gorgeous, sassy and playful cowgirl-style cute dance routine to Bodyguard by Beyoncé, which is from her latest album. This class is going to be so much fun! We encourage you to bring your cowboy hat to add flare to this already sensational routine.

    IN THIS DANCE WORKSHOP, Stephanie will be teaching us a gorgeous, sassy and playful cowgirl-style cute dance routine to Bodyguard by Beyoncé, which is from her latest album.     BIO: Stephanie Emmanuela Da Silva is a devoted dance artist who pursued an MFA in dance and choreography after becoming captivated with Afro-Brazilian dance and Samba. She immersed herself in the dance culture of Salvador from 2007-2012, living there as a student, a professional dancer, a teacher and a designer. She has been a student of and has danced for Rosangela Silvestre, Vera Passos and Paco Gomes since the early 2000’s, and became a certified Silvestre Technique Instructor in 2010. She danced professionally in Bahia with Anderson Rodrigo of Attomos Dance, Norma Santana, and Nem Brito of Diaspora Dance Company. She trained with the world renowned Bale Folklorico da Bahia and graduated from the Escola de Dança in Salvador. Stephanie performed as a soloist portraying Oya Iansã and Yemanja for O Kontra, an Afro-Brazilian Jazz Performance Group under the direction of Nei Sacramento, amongst other choreographers. 

    Stephanie has performed as a dancer with numerous Bay Area dance companies and founded Agua Doce Dance in 2015 and has performed all over Santa Cruz and the Bay Area at events such as the SC & SF Ethnic Dance Festival, Santa Cruz Dance Week, the Ebb and Flow Festival, SJDance Co, the Yemanja Arts Festival, Cabrillo Music Festival, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, CubaCaribe Dance Festival and many other events. Stephanie is currently a Professor of Dance at the College of Alameda.
