DESCRIPTION:
Kirtan is call and response chanting from the Bhakti Yoga tradition, a joyful practice of devotion.
Kirtan is a spiritual practice of Bhakti (devotional) Yoga, a musically guided call-and-response chanting of Sanskrit mantras of healing and empowerment. It's a musically guided meditation practice that calms the mind, relaxes the body, and energizes the spirit. Some say, it's like singing to your highest self or to your angels or to The Universe or to God (whatever resonates most to your heart as this is a very personal and sacred practice).
Kirtan is not a performance, but a collective group prayer. Together we will use our voices to participate in this uplifting and cathartic experience of chanting mantras.
Come experience the uplifting and heart opening affects of Kirtan, in a safe and supportive evening of sacred mantras and glorious harmony of call-and-response chanting.
No previous yoga, meditation or singing experience is necessary to participate.
All Voices Welcome!

About Hannah Lerch: Hannah is a yoga student and teacher in Santa Cruz, CA. She teaches creative Vinyasa flow yoga classes, with a focus on bhakti, breath, and alignment. Often incorporating the harmonium and mantra during savasana, she invites students to chant at the end of class. She recently started leading Intro to Chanting Workshops and Kirtans.
Growing up playing soccer and ultimate frisbee, she started practicing yoga in 2011. Although her introduction to yoga was for the physical benefits - to prevent injury and improve range of motion - she found that the connection to mind, body, breath, and spirit kept her coming back to the mat. After completing her first 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training in 2016, she traveled to India to study at the Himalayan Yoga Academy in 2017.
Hannah’s classes provide a place for students of all levels to explore strength, flexibility, and discernment. Yes, part of yoga is the physical aspect – but yoga is also about coming onto your mat, stepping away from the rest of your day, breathing in and out, and practicing presence. One of the ways we can practice yoga is by paying attention to our intentions, and observing what is happening in the mind, body, and spirit - on AND off the mat.
Hannah’s schedule at Pleasure Point is below:
Mixed Flow: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11:00-12:15pm

Prayer as Portal : to Home
Let’s explore our prayer practices as doorways we can walk through to enter into a true sense of Home. Home as a grounding within and also home as a sense of belonging to a larger universe, here now holding you. We will listen to our own inner knowing to ask – what is Home to me?
In this workshop we will work with our prayers as conversations and collaborations with the Divine that come through our whole embodied Self.
Practicing yoga, guided meditations, and embodied writing we will find our way into deeper, juicer, more vulnerable prayers. We will explore ways to connect with inner and outer guidance through visioning, words, and action to shape our prayers and perhaps bring some healing to our whole selves.
In this time of year when many of us are asked to return to places that may or may not feel like true homes, we can build quiet resilience together and in prayer. Join us in grounded exploration and community.

The Hypno and Healing Circle
A monthly gathering to use the power of hypnosis to rewrite our inner narratives, rewire our brains, and remember our power.
The subconscious mind is the most powerful tool when it comes to making meaningful change in our lives. This is where our deepest beliefs, wisdom, intuition, creativity, and patterns live, and it makes up 95-98% of the mind! When we make change at the subconscious level, it ripples out into the rest of our lives and we get to witness our reality transform around us.
Using imagery, metaphor, guided relaxation, and visualization, we can communicate directly to the subconscious mind to move beyond limiting beliefs, heal old narratives, and rewire your brain in service of helping you embody the person you truly are, and the life you want to live. Hypnosis offers a pathway to rapid yet gentle change, and helps us remember that we are in the driver’s seat of our lives.
What to expect:
Each month we’ll focus on a specific theme to weave into the subconscious mind in service of your growth, healing, and evolution. You can expect to leave each session feeling expanded, relaxed, and reminded of your power.
Gatherings include:
- Journaling and self-reflection on the topic
- Group hypnosis journey co-created with the group
- Discussion and reflection
- Turning it into action and leaning into the shift

About Shawna:
Shawna has been practicing yoga and sobriety since 2012. She began studying yoga and meditation as a teenager in 2008, seeking peace in the midst of inner and outer chaos. In 2017, she completed her first 200-hour teacher training and began teaching in community spaces. A year later, she traveled to northern India to deepen her studies in yoga and Buddhism, and later completed her 500-hour certification.
Shawna now leads classes and workshops throughout California’s Central Coast, offering everything from power vinyasa to gentle flow, always infused with Ayurveda, trauma-informed language, and a deep reverence for self-inquiry. Her teaching is rooted in connection—to self, community, and the natural world. Outside the studio, Shawna works in regenerative organic agriculture, helping fundraise for climate-resilient food systems.

In this class, we’ll explore traditional pranayama practices alongside gentle yoga asana, meditation, and mindfulness training—all designed to refine our awareness and reconnect us with what is already pure, already whole, already beautiful within. Each session blends guided breathwork with accessible meditation, creating a practice that both centers and uplifts.
You don’t need prior experience—just a willingness to slow down, breathe with awareness, and listen within. Together, we’ll explore simple but powerful tools you can return to anytime: whether you’re seeking more clarity and focus, support in managing stress and anxiety, or a way to deepen your yoga practice.
Through consistent practice, students often experience:
A quieter, more focused mind
Increased energy and vitality
Greater emotional balance and resilience
A renewed sense of connection to self, breath, and presence
This class is designed to be both accessible for beginners and enriching for seasoned yogis looking to deepen their meditation practice. Over time, breathwork, movement, and meditation become more than techniques—they become a way of remembering our natural state of balance, peace, and inner radiance.
Come as you are, and leave feeling grounded, clear, and reconnected to the perfection already within you.

DESCRIPTION:
We welcome you to gather in community with sound healers and yoga teachers, Aubrey Padma and Kobun Truelove, for a beautiful evening as we embark on a sonic journey into the deep sea. Journey with the Whales Sound Bath Meditation & Restorative Yoga experience is like no other!
You will be gently guided into deeply restorative yoga poses for several minutes each, inviting you to drop into a nurturing nest of support, held by Mama Earth as the sacred songs of whales beneath the surface of the Monterey Bay wash over and through you. You will also be enveloped with the healing sounds and vibrations of Nepalese singing bowls, drums, didgeridoo, and other beautiful instruments, soothing your nervous system while we raise the vibration to healing frequencies, in a time where so much healing is needed on planet earth.
Sound vibration works on a cellular level to bring harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. Science describes for us how through a process called entrainment, when the frequency of one object synchronizes with the frequency of another, external sound frequencies have the power to alter inner states of consciousness by shifting from an alert state to alpha and theta brain waves associated with relaxation and meditation. Benefits of sound are especially potent when combined with restorative yoga poses which allow space and support for the body to soften, let go, and be held, releasing tension throughout layers of your being. Further healing benefits may include promoting emotional balance, nervous system downregulation, reduced stress response and anxiety symptoms, decreased pain and inflammation, improved sleep quality, a sense of inner peace, calm clarity of mind, insight, renewed wellbeing and spiritual connection.
No yoga or meditation experience necessary, you will be guided throughout all aspects of the evening.
Please bring:
Your beautiful self and all that is present within. An open mind and an open heart for your journey. Water bottle and yoga mat. We do have props in the studio, though you are welcome to bring any cozy personal items such as blankets or eye masks that help you feel supported. Please wear loose comfortable yoga type clothes and bring layers as the body temperature decreases during deep relaxation.
*While sound healing is generally relaxing, safe, and supportive, it is not advised for anyone with sound induced epilepsy. You know your body best, so you are encouraged to always practice self responsibility and refer to your health care provider with any medical questions you may have before participating, especially those in the first trimester of pregnancy.
