This comprehensive Instructor Program will consist of a 4 hour Training Workshop and 4 Class Setup Coaching Sessions each 1.5 hours. Workshop and Coaching sessions will cover Barre class philosophy, class creation, exercise selection, sequencing and techniques, use of "Layers Of Challenge" philosophy, cueing techniques, music selection and use, AND help you build your teaching confidence and your own personal teaching style.

Our instructor training program goes beyond theory and lecture. Through our hands-on coaching sessions you will develop the tools needed to build your class and the skills needed to deliver your class with confidence.
This comprehensive Instructor Program will consist of a 4 hour Training Workshop and 4 Class Setup Coaching Sessions each 1.5 hours. Workshop and Coaching sessions will cover Barre class philosophy, class creation, exercise selection, sequencing and techniques, use of "Layers Of Challenge" philosophy, cueing techniques, music selection and use, AND help you build your teaching confidence and your own personal teaching style.
You will receive a workshop certificate presented upon completion of your class assessment and an opportunity to teach in our Free Community Barre Fusion Class held at Pleasure Point Sanctuary’s Dance & Movement Studio.
Barre Fusion is a dynamic full body workout that combines ballet inspired moves with elements of Pilates and fitness/strength training with focus on functional movements. We use large, full range movements and some small controlled movements while maintaining a traditional Barre’ class focus on form, posture, control, and balance. Compound exercises, simple movement combinations and music keep class lively, interesting and challenging.
Instructor Bio:
Deborah Yates, dancer and veteran fitness pro/National Aerobic Champion, has traveled the world sharing her love for dance based fitness classes and today continues with her "Inspire Dance". Many years ago, embarking on the adventure of combining her love of ballet and fitness, discovered the genre, "Barre" and has been in love ever since.
"I spent several years managing group fitness programs for several Bay Area sport resort clubs which were very challenging, inspiring, and a lot of fun. I also had the opportunity to train, mentor/coach new group fitness instructors interested in joining the fitness world and always found this process to be an extremely rewarding experience". "I look forward to passing on my love , experience and knowledge in fitness to Barre enthusiasts looking to join the ranks of this wonderful world of Health & Fitness"!
